Questions, answered.

What is CardHabit?

CardHabit is a daily challenge app for people who read Atomic Habits, tried 75 Hard, and want a system they can sustain instead of one that burns them out. Every morning it deals you five habit cards drawn at random from Physical, Mental, Nutrition, Recovery, and Wildcard, and you commit to the ones you can handle. Friends who believe you can handle more can spend cards they have earned to raise the bar on your next morning's draw.

What kind of app is CardHabit?

CardHabit is an iOS daily challenge app built on trading-card-game mechanics: every morning it deals you five habit cards, and you commit to what you can handle that day. Friends can raise the stakes by playing Challenge cards, like Raise the Bar or The Tempter, into your next draw. You show up for the daily challenge, and the habits are what it leaves behind.

Is CardHabit the same as Habit Card or cardhabit.com?

No. CardHabit is the iOS app that deals you five habit cards every morning, and its only website is cardhabitapp.com. It is not affiliated with cardhabit.com, and it is not Habit Card, a tile-grid tracker. The App Store listing is CardHabit: TCG Habit Tracker (id 6768107296).

Who is CardHabit for?

CardHabit is for people who read Atomic Habits and want a system instead of willpower, and for people who did 75 Hard, burned out, and want something sustainable that still feels hard. If you want a daily challenge you can keep up for years, with friends involved instead of grinding alone, it was built for you.

Is this another 75 Hard?

No, and the difference is the point. 75 Hard asks for extreme things once, over a 75-day pass-or-fail run. CardHabit asks for hard things every day: each card is scoped small enough to actually do every morning and hard enough to feel real, and the system survives missed days instead of sending you back to Day 1.

What if I miss a day?

Your streak ends, and a new one starts the next morning. There is no purity test and no restart-from-zero penance. A friend can also send you a Streak Shield, a card that carries your streak through a missed day. The whole system is built to survive missed days rather than punish you for being human.

How does the daily ritual work?

Every morning you draw five cards, a random mix from Physical, Mental, Nutrition, Recovery, and Wildcard. You hold a card to lock in your commitment: two cards a day on the free tier, all five on Pro. Each card you complete earns a vault card, a piece of currency you can spend on your own future draws or on a friend's.

What can your friends actually do?

Friends can only touch tomorrow's draw, never today's commitments. They can raise the bar by swapping in a harder card, locking in a commitment before you've seen the hand, or hiding the draw so you pick blind. They can also send Buffs, helpful cards like extra XP or a shield for your streak. Every Challenge is a friend saying they believe you can handle more, and once you complete a card it is immune to all of it.

What if my friends push too hard?

You set the terms. Every friendship has a consent setting, Challenges on or Buffs only, and you can flip it at any time. Recovery Mode pauses incoming Challenges for a week, no questions asked and invisible to your friends. A Challenge only reads as a vote of confidence because you opted in to receiving it.

What is an archetype?

An archetype is the play style you earn from the work you actually do. The first ten cards you complete determine which of four you get: Ironclad (Physical), Sage (Mental), Alchemist (Nutrition), or Phantom (Recovery). Each one unlocks abilities that bend your future draws toward what makes you stronger.

Is CardHabit available now?

Yes. CardHabit launched on the iOS App Store in July 2026. Download the app today and draw your first hand of cards tomorrow morning.

What does CardHabit cost?

The free tier covers the daily draw and lets you commit to two cards a day. CardHabit Pro unlocks all five daily commits and the full record of everything you have played, with a 7-day free trial. Founder pricing is live in the app now: $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, locked in at signup for as long as your subscription stays active.
